As January rolls in, so does the return of Silent Witness, and I’m thrilled to once again be part of this incredible series. Silent Witness is the longest running crime drama currently airing anywhere in the world, follows a team of forensic pathologists helping to solve murders. It first aired in the UK in 1996.
Together with producer Seán Gleeson, we made the decision to begin scoring early, as the episodes were entering the editing phase. I truly believe the best results come when music and picture grow together—there’s a unique magic in that synergy.
For this series, I had the pleasure of recording some incredible musicians: Violeta Vicci on violin, viola, and octave viola and Andrew Arcecci on bass viol and double bass.
As always, I had the pleasure of working with a fantastic array of directors: Tracey Rooney, Toby Frow, Sallie Abraham, and Max Myers.
