I commissioned filmmaker and artist Alex Kozobolis to create this stunning music video for Daydream by IN-IS featuring Ailbhe Reddy. It was Alex’s idea to use only archive footage and we were about four weeks into lockdown when Alex began work on the film.
Alex Kozobolis explains his thinking behind the film:
Quarantine has felt an intensely introspective time, on individual and global levels, so I decided I wanted to try to reflect that and to try to piece together something culturally introspective – working with archival footage in the public domain.
For me, ultimately, the film is a visual commentary on the contradictions (both beautiful and tragic) present within the spectrum of human experience, and the impermanence of all things, good and bad…
