IN-IS tracks to be used in BBC drama

Three tracks from my album ‘SEVEN DAYS’ by IN-IS have been used in the BBC drama, A Tale of Two Cities: Aleppo and London, by award-winning writer Ayeesha Menon.

‘Lake‘ has been chosen for the opening of episodes 1 and 2 and the closing of episode 3, while ‘Our Story‘ and ‘Fjords‘ will be used throughout the three episodes.

The album Seven Days is available on iTunes and Spotify.

Dickens’ original novel is a powerful portrayal of personal sacrifice set against the turbulent backdrop of political change. As resonant today as it was then, the redemption of flawed humanity is at the heart of Menon’s bold reworking of Charles Dickens’ masterpiece ‘A Tale of Two Cities’.

Dickens’ story of a chance resemblance between a feckless lawyer and a troubled exile, both in love with the same woman, is updated to contemporary London and war-torn Syria. However, in this modern version, the driving forces are two women – British Syrian journalist Lina Mahmoud, and her nemesis, Taghreed Daffar.
